Hi! I’m Luna, an SF and Oakland based psychotherapist. I received my master’s in Counseling Psychology from California Institute of Integral Studies and completed my clinical training at Church Street Gestalt Training Center, the only Gestalt training center in the world.

I enjoy working with people seeking meaning in their life. Often these people might look normal or fine to an outsider, but on the inside are complex and often struggling to love themselves. I work with individuals (adults and teens), couples, and organize group processing workshops and events. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, boundary setting, trauma, emotional overwhelm, self esteem, sexual abuse, suicidal ideation, self harm, sociopolitical stress, existential and spiritual questions, highly sensitive people, teens, individuals, queer, poly, monogamous and kinky couples, inter-racial couples, relationship challenges and conflict, building trust, confronting fears, mixed race identity exploration, neurodiversity challenges, antiracism work, queer identity exploration, immigration trauma, attachment types, self-regulation and co-regulation, intergenerational trauma, communication skills and life transitions.

My clients describe me as more-than-meets-the-eye, deeply caring, relatable, curious, insightful, empathetic while also direct.

I have a unique positionality: Queer cis-female, mixed race and multicultural, english as a second language, daughter of an immigrant, grew up in China as a child, educated in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with a corporate background in technology. I have a BS in Business Management from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, with a focus in small business and nonprofit management. For years, I have practiced and taught meditation, yoga, and mindfulness techniques to help clients with self-care, nervous system regulation, and trauma. I have been practicing Vipassana meditation since 2015. I volunteer with the SPCA and love animals.

Other therapeutic modalities I work with: Humanistic, Relational, client-centered, experiential, Hakomi, CBT, narrative therapy, Somatics, EFT tapping, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Based interventions, Internal Family System (IFS), multi-generational healing, Guided Imagery and Transpersonal therapy.

* Gestalt therapy is an existential/experiential form of psychotherapy which emphasizes personal responsibility, and focuses upon the individual's experience in the present moment, the therapist–client relationship, the environmental and social contexts of a person's life, and the self-regulating adjustments people make as a result of their overall situation (Wiki).
